01. Hands On Instruction

Our In-person classes provide hands-on instruction, allowing you to receive immediate feedback and guidance from certified instructors. This can be particularly valuable for improving firearm handling skills, marksmanship, and addressing any questions or concerns you may have.

In-person classes often include practical demonstrations and live-fire exercises that provide you with essential hands-on safety training. Pistol 101/Self Defense Class Overview

This class is designed for all who are interested in personal and/or family safety as well as the development of their shooting skills for both self defense and recreation. We understand that shooting can be intimidating, so we take all the time necessary to make sure you feel comfortable with all aspects of your pistol, shooting, and self defense.

The call for all encompassing courses is growing every year with the ever increase violence in society today. Our course answers the call to deliver a quality thorough class that goes beyond just the basics of self defense. Our class teaches the proper use and safe handling of a pistol, pepper spray, as well as basic self defense tactics/techniques and their effective application.

Specific Topics:

What is situational awareness and how to apply it in everyday life as well as self defense situations

Unarmed self defense techniques

Various optional self defense alternatives (i.e. proper utilization of pepper spray, how to use a knife to protect yourself, etc.)

Laws regarding use of force

Reasons why to carry a handgun and why not to

Basic pistol safety and handling

Pistol marksmanship (we cover your stance, grip, sight alignment trigger control, and breathing when learning to shoot correctly)

Carrying concealed in the real world — tips, tricks and gray areas

Carry methods that are both reasonable and effective for everyday life

Live-fire instruction and practice (for safety, accuracy and comfort with your pistol)

Required Equipment:

Eye Protection

Hat with brim/bill

Close toed shoes

Belt

Holster

Pistol

2 Magazines (or 1 speed loader if using a revolver)

Ammunition (Atleast 200 Rounds minimum. Factory produced ammo only, no home reloads allowed due to insurance.)

8 Hours

This class is 8 hours long and includes range time.
